Exhibitor and Corporate Sponsor Information
2022 - 2023 Academic Year

August 2022

Opportunities -- The Chicago Ophthalmological Society welcomes the participation of ophthalmic companies at our quarterly educational conferences.  Support from interested companies plays an important role in the viability of these meetings, and in particular, makes it possible for residents and fellows in training programs throughout Chicago to attend.  The COS leadership is committed to making your participation as worthwhile as possible.

Meeting Format -- COS quarterly conferences are dinner meetings.  The evening starts with a cocktail reception in the same area as the exhibitors, followed by a buffet dinner.  The program starts after dinner.  Companies are welcome to have tabletop exhibits at the meeting which are placed in a very visible location.  Exhibitors also are thanked by the program chair during the business meeting (immediately preceding the guest lecture and CME program).  We limit the number of companies at each meeting, so you can be assured that your presence will figure prominently during the evening.  Vendors who are unable to be present with a display table may wish to consider one of the other options listed below.

About the COS -- The Chicago Ophthalmological Society is the oldest local society for EyeMDs in the nation.  Its monthly educational conferences are well known throughout the profession, and it is considered to be an honor to receive an invitation to speak. Four quarterly educational meetings are held during the year -- one in the fall, two in the winter and one in the spring.  Attendance is very consistent ranging from about 70 to 95 practicing ophthalmologists, medical school faculty and residents.

Although conferences were virtual during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, COS is now moving back to in-person conferences.  Some of these may be "hybrid" -- that is, in-person and online.  We will announce the format for each meeting, but we expect the on-site attendance will be consistent with pre-pandemic meetings.  It's our hope that by offering the hybrid option, members with a long-drive to travel downtown still will participate virtually.

2023 ISEPS/COS Joint Conference; Friday, March 10 -- The Chicago Ophthalmological Society and the Illinois Society of Eye Physicians & Surgeons collaborate each year to offer an annual meeting with clinical and practice management topics for physicians, practice administrators and ophthalmic technicians.  Companies interested in registering to exhibit at this large conference, please visit the online Joint Conference Exhibitor Prospectus (coming soon)
