Dr. Ogawa is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, and he also serves as the Medical Administrative Officer for Eye Associates of New Mexico. His subspecialty relates to complex anterior segment diseases and conditions, including intraocular lens and iris problems, cataract surgery, and corneal and external disease.
He earned his medical degree at the University of Rochester (NY) School of Medicine in 1989. Following an internship at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI, he completed his ophthalmology residency in 1993 at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, where he was chief resident. Dr. Ogawa completed a fellowship in cornea and external disease at The Wilmer Ophthalmological Institute, Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. He has numerous publications and research presentations to his credit, and has lectured extensively throughout the U.S. and internationally.
Dr. Ogawa has designed a large number of surgical instruments. His current active research interests include anterior segment surgical instrument and device design, anterior segment reconstruction surgical technique development, post cataract surgery infection, and implantable miniature telescope exchange.

Annual COS dues includes attendance at the monthly dinners. Therefore, there is no charge for members in good standing.*
For non-members, guests and members in arrears, the registration fee is $75. Residents & fellows in training are not charged, but advance registration is still required.
