A Message from the COS President
Welcome to the New Year!

August 2021
Dear Colleagues, It is my great pleasure to serve as your 128th COS President. Our organization remains vibrant and relevant years after its founding due to the active participation of members such as you. I had hoped to greet you in person at our first monthly meeting of the 2021-2022 academic year. However, due to the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic, restrictions on travel prevent our guest speaker, Dr. Sophie Deng, from lecturing in person on September 13th. Dr. Deng, a renowned corneal physician scientist at UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute, will deliver her lecture virtually. You can expect to hear a fantastic lecture and stimulating case discussions during our virtual September COS meeting*. I hope to see you online. As the year unfolds, the institutional restrictions and citywide recommendations will guide our meeting format. May the pandemic ebb and allow us all to gather together in person soon. Until then, I wish you and your families good health and virtual hugs. Warmest regards, Jenny
