Lecture Title: An Update in the Management of CRVO: results from the latest randomized clinical trials
Dr. Ip is the medical director of the Doheny Image Reading Center (DIRC). He completed his medical studies at New York University's School of Medicine in 1993, before moving on in 1997 to an ophthalmology residency at the University of Pittsburgh's School Of Medicine and a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at Tufts University's New England Eye Center in 1999. Dr. Ip became a faculty member of the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1999, where he served as co-director of the Fundus Photograph Reading Center within the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. He has been involved with numerous clinical trials and is the principal investigator of the Standard Care vs. Corticosteroid for Retinal Vein Occlusion (SCORE) Study. Dr. Ip is the author of hundreds of articles in leading professional journals and books and is known for his finely honed talks to national and international audiences of his peers. He is a principal investigator or co-principal investigator on several multi-million dollar national research enterprises where he and colleagues work to better define therapies that will improve vision in patients with diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusion, and other diseases. Annual COS dues includes attendance at the monthly dinners. Therefore, there is no charge for members in good standing.*
